After watching the video, some students might think mind mapping is the main approach to learning in my class. However, mind mapping is merely the medium/tool I will use to deliver multiple teaching and learning methods. It is the container of the content knowledge and metacognitive strategies I aim to provide you.

I use mind maps, flashcards, and complete worksheets to facilitate learning in all four language domains. Mind mapping allows me to do the following: 我使用心智圖、單字卡活動和完整的聽說讀寫學習單促進所有四個語言領域的學習。心智圖允許我用以下的教學策略:
2. teach grammatical and lexical collocations (語法搭配和詞義搭配詞)
3. connect words with content knowledge (學科內容知識)

6. provide front-loading and spaced repetition (前面載入和間格重複)
7. help students to develop recognition of passive vocabulary in reading and listening (輔助同學在閱讀和聽力認知被動詞彙)
8. instruct students on how to actively predict, analyze, and evaluate information in reading and listening (輔助同學在閱讀和聽力去主動預測、分析、和評估資訊)
9. provide modeling of how to actively use tier 2 and 3 academic vocabulary words in speech and writing (示範如何主動應用Tier2和Tier3的學術詞彙在口說和寫作)
10. teach critical thinking and reasoning skills (發展批判性思考和推理能力)
11. guide students in thinking linearly in the beginning and then moving on in thinking using multiple perspectives (培養直線和多元化思維)
12. provide a framework for you to use English to empower yourself academically and professionally (用英文來獲得學術和專業領域的成功)
Mind mapping, for me, is not the only key to success in English learning. The use of multiple strategies in different situations and knowing when to use them (metacognitive strategies) are the key focus of my instruction.
對我而言，心智圖並不是英語學習成功的唯一關鍵。在不同情況下使用多種策略並知道何時使用它們（多元認知策略）才是我教學的重點。
