1. nearly 和 almost 是近義詞。都是“將近,幾乎”的意思。

nearly 和 almost 之間的區別:
 
A. Nearly is usually followed by numbers.
Example: Nearly 72,000 people attended the Texans playoff game Sunday
 
B. Nearly can be used with “very” and “pretty.” Almost cannot be used with “very” and “pretty.”

I have pretty nearly finished. (NOT I have pretty almost finished.)
 
C. 主語是表示否定的不定代詞, 用almost。

Almost nobody likes him.
 
D. Almost is typically followed by adverbs.
